Vehicle Rollover on U.S. 27 Injures Two, Blocks Northbound Lanes in Davenport

DAVENPORT, Fla. — Two people were injured following a multi-vehicle rollover crash involving an SUV and truck along northbound U.S. 27 near Sand Mine Road in Davenport on Monday.

According to Polk County Fire Rescue, the crash involved multiple vehicles, including a white SUV with full airbag deployment. Emergency crews responded quickly to the scene to provide medical assistance to the injured occupants.


As a result of the crash, three northbound lanes of U.S. 27 were blocked while first responders worked the scene. Traffic remained heavily impacted as investigators conducted their work and waited for a tow truck to remove the damaged vehicles.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office was on scene and handling the investigation. As of 1:00 p.m., deputies remained in the area assisting with traffic control and scene safety.

The extent of the injuries has not been released, but officials confirmed that two people were transported for medical evaluation.

Motorists were urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes during the lane closures.
