POINCIANA, Fla. — A 17-year-old Kissimmee resident has been arrested after Polk County Sheriff's Office detectives linked her to a series of vehicle burglaries that occurred over several months in the Poinciana area, resulting in the theft of bank cards, laptops, Social Security cards, and other personal information.
According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, sent directly to iSkyNews.com, detectives investigated multiple vehicle burglaries that occurred between April and July 2026 within approximately one mile of each other in neighborhoods across Poinciana.
The investigation began on April 19, when deputies responded to a vehicle burglary on Redfin Drive. Investigators said the victim's unlocked vehicle was entered and several items were stolen, including a key fob and a debit card.
Detectives learned the suspect also entered two additional vehicles at the same residence. From those vehicles, investigators said a Social Security card, multiple bank cards, a wallet, and other personal belongings were stolen. Authorities also allege the suspect attempted to use some of the stolen bank cards to make fraudulent purchases.
Less than a month later, on May 17, another victim on Redfin Drive reported that someone entered a company vehicle parked in the driveway and stole a backpack containing a laptop charger and the vehicle's registration.
On June 15, deputies responded to another burglary on Pilchard Court, where a victim discovered her vehicle had been entered and luggage had been stolen.
The latest incidents occurred on July 24 on Sail Court, where two victims reported several items stolen from a vehicle, including a driver's license, six debit and credit cards, a school bag containing an Apple MacBook and a Dell laptop, and a purse.
Through surveillance video and other investigative work, detectives identified the suspect as 17-year-old Nichele Pierce of Kissimmee.

Investigators executed a search warrant at Pierce's residence on Tench Court, where they located clothing matching what the suspect was seen wearing in surveillance footage. Detectives also found a dog matching the description of one seen accompanying the suspect during one of the burglaries.
According to the Sheriff's Office, detectives recovered numerous items containing personally identifiable information (PII), including Social Security cards, driver's licenses, insurance cards, debit cards, and credit cards belonging to multiple victims.
During an interview with detectives, Pierce allegedly admitted to committing all of the vehicle burglaries and confessed to attempting to use the victims' stolen debit and credit cards to make fraudulent transactions.
Pierce was transported to the Polk County Jail and charged with:
- 8 counts of Burglary of an Unoccupied Conveyance (F3)
- Grand Theft (F3)
- 4 counts of Petit Theft (M2)
- 3 counts of Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card (F3)
- Unlawful Possession of Personal Identification Information (F3)
- Theft of a Credit Card (M1)
- Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communication Device (F2)
- 4 counts of Loitering (M2)
Sheriff Grady Judd used the case to remind residents about the importance of securing their vehicles.
"If this example isn't enough to convince you how important it is to lock your car doors at all times and remove your valuables, then I don't know what is. Locking your car takes one second, but it can take months or years to get your identity back if it's stolen and to fix your credit card and banking information when it's illegally accessed. Lock it, or lose it."
The investigation remains ongoing.
