Woman Found Dead Behind Plaza del Sol in Kissimmee; Investigation Underway
KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Detectives are investigating after a deceased individual was found behind Plaza del Sol in Kissimmee late Wednesday night.
According to the Kissimmee Police Department, officers responded at approximately 10:49 p.m. to a call regarding an individual behind 3831 W. Vine Street.

When officers arrived, they located a deceased individual, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation remained active overnight as detectives and crime scene investigators processed the area. Crime scene tape was established in two separate locations, including behind the Ross store at Plaza del Sol and at an apartment complex across the street.

While monitoring law enforcement radio traffic, officials indicated the deceased was believed to be a female who had sustained a gunshot wound to the back of the head. However, that information has not been officially confirmed by the Kissimmee Police Department.
In a statement provided directly to iSkyNews.com, Kissimmee Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Raquel Fernandez said:
"I've been coordinating with detectives. At this time, there is no additional information available beyond the statement below. I will share updates if and when additional information is authorized for release.
At approximately 10:49 p.m. on Wednesday, the Kissimmee Police Department responded to a call regarding an individual located behind 3831 West Vine Street.
Upon arrival, officers located a deceased individual, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Detectives are currently at the scene conducting an active investigation. There is no additional information available for release at this time."
The identity of the deceased has not been released, and no information regarding a possible suspect has been made public.
