APACHE JUNCTION, AZ — A tragic rollover crash early Wednesday morning claimed the life of a juvenile male and left another teen injured, according to the Apache Junction Police Department.
At approximately 4:41 a.m., officers were dispatched to the scene near N. Hackamore Road and State Route 88, where they located a single vehicle that had rolled over in the desert area.
A juvenile male, believed to be the driver, was found deceased at the scene. A juvenile female passenger was also located and transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and officials have not released any additional identifying information.
AJPD shared their condolences in a public statement, saying, “Our hearts go out to the families of those involved in this tragic incident.”
The crash site, with the Superstition Mountains in the background, remains marked off with police tape as investigators work to determine what led to the fatal accident.
