Tempe Police Arrest Two Suspects Following Motel 6 Shooting

TEMPE, Ariz. — Tempe Police have arrested two suspects in connection with a late-night shooting earlier this week at a Tempe motel that left one person critically injured.

According to information provided to iSkyNews.com by the Tempe Police Department, officers responded just after 11:00 p.m. on March 9 to the Motel 6 located at 513 W. Broadway Road after receiving reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived at the scene, investigators determined that three individuals had been involved in an argumentprior to the gunfire.

Police say that during the confrontation, one of the suspects pulled out a gun and shot the victim, before both suspects fled the area.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.

After several days of investigative work, Tempe Police detectives were able to identify and locate the two suspects involved in the shooting.

Both individuals were taken into custody on Thursday, March 12, shortly after 2:00 p.m.

At this time, police have not released the names of the suspects or the specific charges they may face, but officials say more details will be made public as the investigation continues.

Detectives are still working to determine the circumstances that led to the shooting.
