Semi Truck Rollover Knocks Down Power Pole, Shuts Down Deen Still Road in Davenport

DAVENPORT, Fla. A semi truck rollover caused major traffic disruptions Monday morning after the vehicle struck and knocked down a power pole along Deen Still Road in Davenport.

The crash occurred near Deen Still Road East and Old Deen Still Road, prompting an emergency response from Polk County Fire Rescue and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. Officials say the semi rolled over and damaged a power pole, forcing a full shutdown of westbound traffic in the area.

As of 10:30 a.m., all westbound lanes remain closed by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office while crews work the scene. The incident has since been turned over to the Florida Highway Patrol, which is now handling the investigation.

Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported, but motorists are advised to avoid the area due to ongoing road closures and traffic impacts. Utility crews are expected to be needed to address the damaged power infrastructure.

Drivers are urged to use alternate routes and expect delays while the scene is cleared.
