Bicyclist Killed After Being Thrown Through Windshield in Kissimmee Crash
KISSIMMEE, Fla. — A fatal crash involving a vehicle and a bicyclist shut down all northbound lanes of South John Young Parkway at Osceola Village Road late Saturday night as police conducted an extensive investigation.
According to information from a 911 call, the bicyclist was thrown through the vehicle’s windshield during the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene. iSkyNews.com reporters spoke with a Kissimmee Police officer who confirmed the fatality and advised that the department’s Crime Scene Unit was en route to process the scene.

The crash occurred approximately five hours prior to 12:30 a.m., and the roadway remained fully closed in the northbound direction while investigators documented evidence and worked to determine the circumstances leading up to the crash.
At approximately 1:00 a.m., the medical examiner arrived on scene and removed the body. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased pending notification of next of kin.
While iSkyNews.com crews were on scene covering the fatal crash, two additional accidents occurred on the southbound lanes of South John Young Parkway within minutes of each other. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in those incidents, and multiple tow trucks were dispatched to clear the vehicles and restore traffic flow.
Drivers were urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes as the investigation continued overnight. This remains an active and developing investigation, and additional details will be released as they become available.
