Woman Injured in Hit-and-Run in Cocoa, Florida — Suspect Vehicle Located, Investigation Ongoing

Cocoa, FL (July 21, 2025) — A 55-year-old woman from Cocoa was hospitalized after being struck in a hit-and-run crash in Brevard County. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the incident occurred July 12th around 6:48 a.m. on Arabella Lane, just north of Barclay Drive.
Authorities say the victim was walking along the right shoulder of the roadway heading north when a vehicle, also traveling northbound, struck her with its front right bumper. The vehicle fled the scene immediately, leaving the woman with non-life-threatening injuries. She was transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Initial investigations pointed to a lighter-colored 2004–2008 Honda Accord—either silver or gold—as the suspect vehicle. The car was believed to have sustained damage to its front right bumper and passenger side mirror.

Shortly after issuing a public call for information, FHP investigators located the suspect vehicle, confirmed to be a gold 2004 Honda Accord. The car has been seized as evidence. Authorities are now working to determine who was behind the wheel at the time of the crash.
The Florida Highway Patrol reminds the public that leaving the scene of a crash is a serious offense. Charges are pending as this remains an active criminal investigation.
