Central Arizona - After more than three decades of unwavering commitment, Battalion Chief Brad Davis of the Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority (CAFMA) has officially retired—closing the book on a 31.5-year career defined by public service, mentorship, and community impact.
Throughout his distinguished career, Chief Davis served as a paramedic, led CAFMA’s HAZMAT program, and became a beloved figure at Lake Valley Elementary, where he spent 16 years as the school’s “Fire Pal”, inspiring children through safety education and community outreach.
🔥 More Than a First Responder
Known for his deep empathy and steady leadership, Chief Davis touched lives across Central Arizona—responding to emergencies, mentoring younger firefighters, and building trust between CAFMA and the public it serves. Whether battling hazardous situations or engaging with local schools, Davis never stopped putting service first.
🎓 A Legacy of Safety and Education
His presence at Lake Valley Elementary became a cherished tradition, where students learned fire safety from the very firefighter who helped protect their neighborhoods. Teachers and parents alike praised his approachable spirit and the lasting impression he left on young minds.
🙌 CAFMA’s Message to the Davis Family
“Congratulations to Chief Davis and his family! We wish you all the best in this next chapter,” the agency shared in its retirement announcement. “Your leadership, compassion, and dedication will continue to ripple through the communities you’ve served.”
Chief Davis’s retirement marks the end of an era—but his legacy will live on in every life touched and every safety principle instilled.
