MESA, AZ — A motorcycle crash at Gilbert and Brown Roads left one man seriously injured Saturday night, prompting a major emergency response and shutting down key lanes in Mesa.
The collision happened around 8:51 PM, when witnesses say a motorcycle barreled into a red vehicle at a dangerous speed. The impact was catastrophic—the motorcycle was destroyed on contact, with shattered parts strewn across the intersection and a branded Ducati Corse backpack lying just feet from the wreckage.
Mesa Fire & Medical units rushed to the scene, quickly upgrading the incident to a “2-in-1 Medical” due to the severity of injuries. The motorcyclist could be heard screaming in pain as firefighters provided treatment on the ground. He was later transported to the hospital in serious-to-critical condition. A second person was treated on-site for non-life-threatening injuries.
Photos captured by iSkyNews crews show the red car heavily damaged, its bumper torn off and driver’s-side door wide open. Emergency lights lit up the scene as multiple first responders worked under pressure, and traffic investigators began piecing together what happened.
By 10:30 PM, Mesa Police had closed several major lanes surrounding the intersection, including:
- Westbound Brown Rd. at Gilbert
- Eastbound Brown Rd. at Gilbert
- Southbound Gilbert Rd. at Brown
The scene remains active as officers document the crash, collect evidence, and determine whether charges may be filed.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area through the night. Stay with for updates, road reopening alerts, and follow-up coverage as investigators continue their work.
