Box Truck Overturns on I-75 After Tire Failure, Blocking Southbound Lanes

FLORIDA — Drivers heading south on Interstate 75 are facing major delays Wednesday morning after a box truck overturned following a tire failure, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP said the crash happened around 10:25 a.m. on September 23, 2026, near mile marker 304.

Investigators said the single-unit box truck was traveling southbound on I-75 when the driver lost control after one of the truck’s tires failed. The truck then overturned, blocking all three southbound travel lanes.

Traffic is currently being allowed to pass the crash scene using the inside shoulder. Southbound traffic is also being diverted off the interstate at Exit 314.

FHP reported non-life-threatening injuries in connection with the crash.

Drivers traveling through the area should expect delays and consider using an alternate route while crews work to clear the overturned truck and reopen the interstate.

The crash remains under investigation.
