Three Injured in Two-Vehicle Rollover Crash Near Mesa-Gilbert Line

MESA, Ariz. — Three people were injured, including one who suffered serious injuries, following a two-vehicle rollover crash near the Mesa-Gilbert line.

The collision happened around 10:30 a.m. near Baseline Road and 24th Street. One of the vehicles overturned, while the second sustained heavy damage and had its airbags deployed.

Mesa Fire and Medical, Mesa Police and Gilbert Fire responded to the scene. Emergency crews used the Jaws of Life during the rescue operation before the injured patients were transported for medical treatment.

Multiple roads surrounding the crash were closed while first responders treated the injured, investigated the collision and worked to clear the damaged vehicles.

The cause of the crash has not been released. No additional information about the conditions of the other two patients was immediately available.
