LAKELAND, Fla. — Detectives with the Polk County Sheriff's Office are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect accused of stealing merchandise from a Lakeland vape shop earlier this month.
According to the Sheriff's Office, the theft occurred on July 12, 2026, at Umkava X Vaperior, located at 5333 Florida Avenue in Lakeland.
Investigators say the suspect entered the business and stole three vape devices with a combined value of $79.17 before fleeing the store on foot.
Surveillance images released by the Sheriff's Office show the suspect wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and sandals while inside the store.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about the investigation is encouraged to contact Detective Borgwith the Polk County Sheriff's Office at (863) 499-2400 or by email at EBorg@polksheriff.org.
Those wishing to remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward can submit tips to Heartland Crime Stoppers by calling 1-888-400-TIPS (8477), dialing **TIPS from a cell phone, submitting a tip online through Heartland Crime Stoppers, or using the free P3 Tips mobile app.
