POINCIANA, Fla. — Customers and employees were evacuated from an ALDI supermarket in Poinciana Monday after a reported gas leak or other possible hazardous leak triggered a significant emergency response.
The incident occurred at the ALDI located at 864 Cypress Parkway in Kissimmee. Deputies with the Osceola County Sheriff's Office and crews from Osceola County Fire Rescue responded to the scene and quickly established a safety perimeter around the store.

Authorities shut down access to the supermarket and surrounding areas while emergency personnel worked to determine the source of the reported leak. Multiple fire engines, rescue units, and a battalion chief responded to the incident. Firefighters also deployed hose lines outside the building as a precaution while crews assessed potential hazards.
Witnesses at the scene reported seeing customers and employees gathered outside the store as emergency responders conducted their investigation. Large crowds of residents also gathered nearby seeking information about the incident as emergency vehicles remained staged throughout the area.
Video from the scene showed a heavy emergency presence, including fire apparatus, sheriff's deputies, rescue personnel, and equipment positioned around the evacuated store.
