SUMTER COUNTY, Fla.  Florida Highway Patrol troopers are actively investigating a crash involving a tractor-trailer that is causing significant delays along Interstate 75 Thursday afternoon.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the crash occurred at approximately 2:20 p.m. on April 16, 2026, along southbound I-75 near Milepost 256.

Authorities say the crash involved a tractor-trailer, with debris scattered across portions of the roadway. Emergency crews, including fire rescue and troopers, responded to the scene and are working to clear the obstruction and safely reopen lanes.
