According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at approximately 8:01 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026, to a deadly crash involving a pedestrian.

Investigators say the incident occurred on the on-ramp to Interstate 4 eastbound from U.S. Highway 27 northbound, a busy interchange frequently used by drivers traveling between Polk and Osceola counties.
