Beer Theft Under Investigation at Lakeland Convenience Store, Deputies Seek Public’s Help

LAKELAND, Fla. — The Polk County Sheriff's Office is investigating a retail theft that occurred just after 8 a.m. on February 24, 2026, at Nick and Moe's of Kathleen.

According to deputies, the suspect entered the store and stole a 12-pack of Heineken beer, with the possibility that additional items were also taken. Witnesses described the suspect as a Hispanic male wearing a white ball cap, blue jeans, white slides, red socks, and carrying a black and red backpack. He reportedly fled the scene on a dark-colored bicycle.
