OSCEOLA COUNTY, FL – A tragic single-vehicle accident claimed the life of a young woman late Friday evening in Kissimmee around 11:53 pm.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the incident occurred on February 6, 2026, at the intersection of Osceola Polk Line Road and Heritage Pass.

Investigators report that a 2017 Ford Fusion, driven by a 20-year-old female from Davenport, was traveling westbound on Osceola Polk Line Road. For reasons still under investigation, the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control.

The sedan veered off the roadway to the left and struck a tree with significant impact. The collision caused the vehicle to become fully engulfed in flames.

Tragically, the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. FHP officials have confirmed that the next of kin has been notified. At this time, it remains unknown if the driver was wearing a seatbelt.

The crash remains under active investigation by state troopers as they work to determine the exact factors that led to the loss of control.
