Pedestrian Hit in Evening Crash Near Higley and Broadway
Mesa, AZ – A vehicle struck a pedestrian Monday evening near East Broadway Road and South Higley Road, causing temporary traffic delays in the area.
The incident occurred around 6:00 p.m. in front of the Dollar General at the intersection. Mesa Fire and Medical personnel responded quickly and evaluated the pedestrian, who fortunately did not sustain any major injuries.
Mesa Police arrived shortly after and partially shut down the northbound lanes of Higley Road just before Broadway to secure the scene. The closure led to traffic backups, and drivers were advised to use alternate routes.
The roadway is now clear, and normal traffic flow has resumed.
