Mesa Fire Engineer Paul Shupe Remembered for His Service, Strength, and Kind Heart

With heavy hearts, the community and fire service family are mourning the passing of Engineer Paul Shupe, a dedicated firefighter who proudly served the City of Mesa for more than 20 years.

Paul was more than a firefighter—he was a friend, a mentor, and a true example of selflessness and courage. In October 2024, he was diagnosed with glioblastoma, a form of brain cancer. Even through his toughest days, Paul faced his battle with unwavering bravery and the same quiet strength he showed throughout his career.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy, who has been a valued member of the department’s dispatch center for the past decade, and their four children, who were the light of his life.

Paul’s legacy will live on in the hearts of his fellow firefighters, the dispatchers who worked alongside his wife, and the many lives he touched in the Mesa community. His smile, his leadership, and his compassion will never be forgotten.

Everyone here at iSkyNews.com extends our deepest condolences, thoughts, and prayers to the Shupe family, friends, and the entire Mesa Fire and Medical Department during this difficult time.

💔 Rest easy, Engineer Shupe. Thank you for your decades of service and your unwavering dedication to the citizens and community of Mesa. Your bravery and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew you.
