Scottsdale, AZ – The Scottsdale Police Department has issued a warning to the community regarding the “Senior Assassins” game being played by high school students across Scottsdale and the Valley.

The game involves seniors targeting classmates with water guns or toy firearms, often in public spaces. While intended as fun, police caution that it poses serious risks — from mistaken identity involving toy guns to reckless driving and trespassing.

Police Safety Guidelines

Scottsdale PD is urging both students and parents to take precautions:

Use only bright, non-realistic toy or water guns.
Parents should monitor their teen’s activities and companions.
Avoid private property, including neighborhoods and businesses.
Do not engage in reckless driving or unsafe stunts.

Potential Consequences

Authorities stressed that the game can cause alarm among residents and businesses, leading to police calls. Depending on the situation, players may face criminal charges such as trespassing, disorderly conduct, or reckless driving.

“Be safe, make good choices,” the advisory stated. “Law enforcement may be called if your actions cause concern.”
