SCOTTSDALE, AZ – According to Scottsdale Police, two suspects have been arrested following an intensive investigation into drug sales operating in the heart of Downtown Scottsdale.
On August 13, detectives with the Scottsdale Drug Enforcement Unit executed warrants that led to the arrest of 31-year-old Matsemela Zuzu Moloi and 26-year-old Luke Asher McConnell. Investigators say the takedown ended a months-long probe into a large-scale drug operation.
What Was Seized
Police reported that multiple types of illegal drugs with a combined street value of $34,000 were confiscated, including:
- Cocaine
- Ketamine
- Methamphetamine pills
- 2C/Tusi
- MDMA
- Xanax
- Psilocybin
Detectives also seized approximately $45,000 in suspected drug proceeds and three illegally possessed firearms.
Charges and Booking
Both Moloi and McConnell are facing multiple charges related to drug sales and illegal weapons possession. They were booked into county jail under the following numbers:
- Matsemela Moloi – G199451
- Luke McConnell – G199456
