Multi-Vehicle Crash Shuts Down Power Road in Both Directions in Mesa

MESA, Ariz. — A multi-vehicle crash shut down a portion of Power Road in both directions Sunday morning as police and fire crews responded to the scene.
The crash happened around 11 a.m. near Power Road and Main Street.
Mesa Police closed northbound and southbound Power Road between Main Street and Broadway Road while emergency crews worked the crash.
Both vehicles involved reportedly had airbag deployment.
According to information from the scene, Mesa Fire requested an extrication unit after firefighters arrived.
Fire crews from Station 220 and Station 209 responded.
iSkyNews.com was advised that multiple people were injured and that ambulances were requested to the scene. The number of patients and the extent of their injuries have not yet been confirmed.
iSkyNews.com has reached out to the Mesa Fire and Medical Department for additional information regarding injuries, transports, and the circumstances surrounding the crash.
As of publication, the department has not responded to our request for additional details.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
