Homeland Security Agents Execute Tactical Operation in East Mesa Neighborhood – Heavy Police Presence Draws Attention

Mesa, AZ (iSkyNews.com) – A quiet Mesa neighborhood turned into the scene of a major law enforcement operation Tuesday afternoon as Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), along with Mesa Police, served a Tactical Operation Mission near East Clover Drive and North Hunt Drive.

Just after 12:00 p.m., neighbors watched as armored vehicles and heavily armed agents rolled into the area. Tactical teams in full gear moved quickly and carefully, surrounding a home while coordinating with local officers on the ground.

An HSI agent confirmed to iSkyNews.com reporters that the activity was related to an active federal operation, though details about the case or who was involved haven’t been released yet.

Photos taken during the operation show officers in tactical gear, Homeland Security trucks parked along the street, and a black pickup truck surrounded by law enforcement. Despite the dramatic response, officials say there were no injuries to Law Enforcement.  It's unknown if any suspects were injured during this operation

People living nearby said they were surprised and a bit shaken by the sudden presence of SWAT teams and armored vehicles in their normally peaceful neighborhood.
