Three-Vehicle Crash Shuts Down Higley Road in Mesa

MESA, Ariz. — A serious three-vehicle collision disrupted multiple lanes of North Higley Road near Brown Road around 5:40 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, prompting a significant emergency response and backing up traffic through the area.

Officials confirmed Mesa Police requested fire assistance upon arrival. Engine 208 was first on scene and quickly escalated the incident to a "2-in-1" medical call, indicating multiple patients and the need for additional rescue resources.

Units from multiple Mesa Fire stations, along with ambulances, converged on the scene. Emergency crews treated all involved on-site, with no reports of hospital transports at this time.

The road remained partially closed until about 6:30 p.m., when All City Towing arrived to clear the vehicles and debris.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and officials have not released further details on the vehicles or number of individuals involved.
