Driver Accidentally Crashes into Ginger Garden Asian Cuisine, No Injuries Reported

GILBERT, Ariz. — Around 9:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, a female driver mistakenly hit the gas pedal instead of the brake, sending her vehicle through the glass front of Ginger Garden Asian Cuisine. The crash startled staff but resulted in no injuries.

At the time of the incident, the restaurant was closed to customers—only employees were inside, according to officials.

Officers from the Gilbert Police Department responded promptly and confirmed there were no signs of impairment. The collision appears to have been accidental.

Gilbert Fire Rescue inspected the building and determined there was no structural damage beyond broken glass and framing.
