Murder Suspect with Gun Crime History Captured in South Florida Manhunt

Broward County, FL — After evading law enforcement with a warrant for murder and a violent criminal record, Morris King, Jr. was taken into custody thanks to coordinated efforts between Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Miami agents and deputies from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities confirmed that King had been wanted for murder, with a long history of gun-related offenses. Believing he could dodge arrest, King went into hiding—until Florida law enforcement closed in.
