BREAKING: 3-Vehicle Collision Temporarily Shuts Down Apache Trail and Signal Butte — Road Reopened

Maricopa County, AZ — July 19, 2025 (iSkyNews.com) At approximately 2:30 p.m. this afternoon, Rural Metro Fire and the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office swiftly responded to a three-vehicle traffic collision at the intersection of Apache Trail and Signal Butte. Upon arrival, fire crews requested an additional ambulance after assessing moderate damage to two vehicles, both of which were blocking traffic lanes.

Due to the severity of the scene, Westbound Apache Trail was closed at Signal Butte, and Southbound Signal Butte was closed at Apache Trail, causing temporary disruption for weekend travelers.

🔹 Two individuals were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

🔹 Both vehicles involved in the primary impact experienced airbag deployment.

🔹 Apache Sands Tow Company arrived on scene shortly before 3:00 p.m., with two trucks working quickly to clear the wreckage.

Sheriff personnel remained onsite until all vehicles were safely removed from the roadway. As of 3:05 p.m., the intersection has fully reopened, and traffic flow has resumed.
