KISSIMMEE, FL – July 12, 2025 – A quick-thinking resident and an alert neighbor played a crucial role in the swift arrest of a burglary suspect earlier this week, highlighting the power of community and law enforcement collaboration in Kissimmee.

According to the Kissimmee Police Department, the incident unfolded on Patrick Street when a resident heard someone attempting to open their back door. Simultaneously, a nearby neighbor observed the suspicious individual, identified as Jason Russell, outside the enclosed patio.

Thanks to the immediate actions of these vigilant citizens, officers were able to respond promptly to the scene. Their rapid deployment allowed them to establish a perimeter around the area, effectively containing the suspect.
