UPDATE: 3:41 PM: Firefighters have extinguished the blaze, but extreme water damage has impacted the home.
GILBERT, AZ - Emergency crews are currently on the scene of a house fire in Gilbert, located at 237 N. Corrine Court. The Gilbert Fire Department responded to reports of a blaze, arriving to find the garage engulfed in flames and smoke visible.
According to initial reports from the scene, the family residing in the home had already evacuated and Fire fighters were able to save the family dog, and thankfully, no injuries have been reported. Firefighters have indicated a light haze of smoke inside the main interior of the residence.
As of 3:05 PM, fire crews are actively engaged in fighting the fire. Authorities have advised that traffic in the immediate vicinity of 237 N. Corrine Court will be blocked as emergency personnel work to contain the situation.
