Bicyclist Struck by Vehicle South of Mountain View High School in Mesa This Afternoon

Mesa, AZ – May 28, 2025 – A motor vehicle accident involving a bicycle occurred today at approximately 4:00 PM on South Lindsay Road, just south of the Fountain Street intersection (near Lindsay and Brown) and south of Mountain View High School.

According to Mesa Fire & Medical, a 911 call was received reporting that a person on a bike had been struck by a vehicle. Emergency crews arrived to find the bicycle split in two as a result of the impact.

The cyclist was treated at the scene and transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Mesa Police Department responded to the scene to conduct an investigation into the collision. As a result, the right southbound lane of Lindsay Road was blocked for approximately one hour, causing some traffic delays in the area.

Once the injured cyclist was transported and the on-site investigation was concluded, the scene was cleared and all lanes on South Lindsay Road were reopened.

Authorities remind all motorists to always be vigilant and watch out for bicycles on the roadway.
