CITRUS COUNTY, FL — A 57-year-old Crystal River man was killed Sunday night after his pickup truck left the roadway and struck a concrete power pole in Citrus County.

The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. on August 31, 2026, near West Orange Tree Street and North Hidden Oaks Way.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving a Dodge Ram westbound on West Orange Tree Street when he failed to negotiate a curve near North Hidden Oaks Way.

The truck left the roadway and collided with a concrete power pole.

The driver suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

No additional information was immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
