Osceola County: Pedestrian Killed in Early Morning Crash on U.S. 192

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — A 32-year-old St. Cloud man was killed early Saturday morning after being struck by an SUV while attempting to cross U.S. 192 in Osceola County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers responded to the crash at approximately 1:44 a.m. on U.S. 192 (Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway) near Pineview Crest Road.
According to investigators, a 2018 Nissan Rogue was traveling eastbound on U.S. 192 when the pedestrian was standing in the eastbound inside lane, directly in the vehicle's path. Troopers said the man was not in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by the front of the SUV.
The 32-year-old pedestrian, who was from St. Cloud, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, a 66-year-old man from Bensalem, Pennsylvania, was not injured. Two passengers—a 57-year-old woman from Bensalem and a 67-year-old woman from Melbourne, Florida—were also uninjured. All three remained at the scene following the crash.
The identity of the pedestrian has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
