As the investigation has continued, detectives have identified a vehicle they believe may be involved in the incident.
Police are looking for a gray or silver Ford F-150 seen leaving the area around the time of the crash. Investigators said it is unknown whether the truck sustained any damage during the collision.
Mesa Police have released a surveillance image of the pickup in hopes that someone in the community will recognize it and come forward with information.
Anyone with information about the vehicle or the fatal hit-and-run is urged to contact the Mesa Police Department at 480-644-2211. Investigators say even the smallest detail could help identify the driver and provide answers for Robert Hetrick's family.
The investigation remains ongoing.
