Phoenix, AZ - An Arizona family is facing the difficult task of starting over after a devastating house fire on Friday, October 2, 2026, left their home heavily damaged and many of their belongings destroyed.

Video shared by AZValley_Media shows the seriousness of the fire as emergency crews responded during the nighttime hours. Multiple emergency vehicles can be seen surrounding the area, with flashing lights illuminating the neighborhood as heavy smoke filled the air.

Additional footage recorded closer to the home shows large flames burning through portions of the structure and extending above the roofline. Firefighters could be seen working from outside the residence as water was directed toward the flames in an effort to bring the fire under control.

The devastation became even more apparent after daylight.

Video taken following the fire shows charred walls, exposed wooden framing and rafters, damaged ceilings, hanging insulation and piles of burned household belongings throughout the home. Furniture and other personal possessions can be seen buried beneath debris, while several areas of the residence were left heavily blackened by fire, heat and smoke.

Despite the extensive destruction, there was one piece of good news — the family says everyone made it out safely.

In a social media post, AZValley_Media described what happened as a devastating loss.

“They lost their home, but not their hope,” the post read.

The family is now working to secure temporary housing, replace essential belongings and begin what could be a lengthy rebuilding process.

A fundraising graphic shared by the family says donations of any size will help them get back on their feet as they recover from the fire.
