MESA, Ariz. — Firefighters battled heavy flames Saturday after a house fire broke out in a Mesa neighborhood near North Forest and East Fairfield Street, just east of Brown Road and Gilbert Road.
Mesa Fire & Medical crews arrived to find thick smoke and flames pushing through the roof of the home.
Due to the intensity of the fire, firefighters transitioned to a defensive strategy and deployed two ladder trucks to conduct aerial master stream operations from above.
Crews worked to bring the blaze under control while preventing the fire from spreading to nearby homes.
No injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
