MESA, Ariz. — Firefighters prevented a roof fire from spreading into multiple apartment units after responding to a working apartment fire Saturday in Mesa.
Mesa Fire & Medical crews, with assistance from Tempe Fire and the Mesa Police Department, responded to reports of an apartment fire near 1100 S. Sycamore.
Upon arrival, firefighters found flames extending into the roof of the building, prompting the incident to be upgraded to a working fire.
Crews quickly launched an aggressive attack on the fire, successfully stopping the flames before they could spread deeper into the apartment complex. Their efforts helped minimize damage to the occupied units.
No injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
