ATLANTA, Ga. — The FBI is seeking the public's help in locating a fugitive accused of participating in a violent attack on a federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Atlanta during protests in the summer of 2020.
According to the FBI, Ronald Scott Watson, a convicted felon, is wanted for his alleged role in the July 25, 2020, attack on the ICE building in downtown Atlanta. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to Watson's location and arrest.
Federal investigators allege that shortly before midnight on July 25, 2020, a crowd gathered outside the Atlanta ICE facility to protest while several masked individuals dressed in dark clothing breached security fencing and vandalized the federal property.
Authorities say the group allegedly used rocks, cinder blocks, modified fireworks, Molotov cocktails, bottles containing lighter fluid, and other objects to attack the building, causing more than $78,000 in damage. Investigators have identified Watson as allegedly being among those involved.
A federal arrest warrant for Watson was issued on July 23, 2025, by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. He has been charged with Maliciously Damaging, and Attempting to Damage, by Means of Fire or an Explosive, a Building and Other Personal and Real Property, in Whole or in Part Owned and Possessed by, and Leased to, the United States.
The FBI warns that Watson should be considered armed and dangerous.
Investigators say Watson has used several aliases, including:
- Sarah Watson
- Miranda Kyle
- Emily Smith
- Victoria Watson
According to the FBI, Watson:
- Date of birth used: November 28, 1996
- Place of birth: Alabama
- Height: 5 feet, 11 inches
- Weight: 134 pounds
- Hair: Brown
- Eyes: Brown
Authorities also say Watson has distinctive tattoos, including a woman plowing and a fish skull fence on the left arm, and three faces tattooed on the right arm.
The FBI said Watson has known ties to Portland, Oregon, and Atlanta, Georgia, and investigators believe Watson may have altered his appearance and could be dressing in women's clothing to avoid detection.
Anyone with information regarding Watson's whereabouts is urged not to approach him. Instead, contact the nearest FBI office, submit a tip online at the FBI's tip portal, or call 1-800-CALL-FBI (225-5324).
As with all criminal cases, the charge against Watson is an allegation. He is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
