Kissimmee, FL. - A former Liberty High School campus monitor is behind bars after an Osceola County Sheriff’s Office investigation uncovered allegations of inappropriate contact with minor students, according to authorities.

The investigation began on May 17, when deputies responded to a complaint from the parent of a Liberty High School student regarding concerning conversations between the student and an adult campus monitor, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said.

As deputies began investigating, a second student was identified who had allegedly also been verbally propositioned by the campus monitor.

Detectives with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office School Safety Unit continued the investigation and obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect, identified as 30-year-old Justice Williams Jones.

According to investigators, Jones had already been terminated by Osceola County Public Schools on May 15 for an unrelated matter and had returned to his residence in Vero Beach.

However, authorities say Jones returned to Liberty High School on Wednesday, where deputies attempted to make contact with him while he remained inside his vehicle.

Instead of complying, investigators say Jones fled the scene, leading deputies on a brief pursuit before traffic on John Young Parkway brought his vehicle to a stop, allowing deputies to surround and arrest him.

Jones was booked into the Osceola County Jail on charges of:

  • Attempted Sexual Battery by a person over 24 years old involving a victim under 16/17
  • Fleeing and Eluding Law Enforcement

During questioning, detectives say Jones admitted to fleeing from deputies as well as having inappropriate contact with students.

Now, investigators are concerned there could be additional victims.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone who may have had inappropriate interactions with Jones while he worked at Liberty High School — or believes they may have been victimized — to contact the Sheriff’s Office immediately.

This remains an active investigation.
