KISSIMMEE, FL — A large police presence remained overnight at the Heron Lakes Apartments in Kissimmee following a deadly incident that left one person dead and detectives searching for answers.

Emergency crews from Kissimmee Police Department and Kissimmee Fire Department were dispatched late Tuesday night around 11 pm to the apartment complex located at 801 Green Heron Court, near the intersection of Heron Lake Drive and Blue Heron Drive.

According to dispatch traffic, first responders were initially called to the scene for a reported victim suffering from possible stab or gunshot wounds.

🚑 When emergency crews arrived near Building G, the victim was reportedly found on a staircase and was still showing signs of life. CPR was immediately initiated as responders worked to save the victim.

Despite lifesaving efforts, the victim later coded and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

🚔 As of the latest update, detectives remained on scene processing evidence while police tape surrounded portions of the apartment complex. Kissimmee Fire units cleared the scene after medical efforts concluded, while law enforcement continued the investigation.

Authorities have not yet released information regarding what led up to the incident, and the identity of the victim has not been made public pending notification of next of kin.

Officials have also not confirmed whether any suspects are in custody.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
