Mesa, Arizona — Mesa Police detectives have confirmed that two people have been arrested following a shooting inside a Mesa Target store Sunday night that left one person critically injured.
According to information provided directly to iSkyNews.com by Mesa Police detectives, officers responded just before 8:00 p.m. on May 24, 2026, to reports of a shooting at the Target located at 1525 S. Power Rd.
Preliminary information indicates the shooting stemmed from an isolated incident involving individuals inside the store. One victim suffered a gunshot wound and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Authorities now say the victim remains in critical but stable condition.
Police initially stated the suspect fled before officers arrived. Investigators have since confirmed that two arrests have now been made in connection with the shooting.
Detectives continue working to determine exactly what led up to the violence inside the busy retail store.
