DAVENPORT, Fla. — An early morning gathering in Osceola County turned deadly after gunfire erupted at a Davenport residence, leaving one person dead and two others injured.

According to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a home located at 9205 Summerset Hills Drive just after 1:00 a.m. following reports of a shooting. According to investigators, the home was being rented as a VRBO, and a house party was in progress with an unknown number of guests at the time gunfire erupted.

When deputies arrived, they found that three individuals had been shot during what authorities described as a large gathering at the residence.

Authorities confirmed that an 18-year-old male has died as a result of his injuries. Two other male victims were also struck by gunfire; they are currently hospitalized and listed in stable condition.

At this time, no suspect is in custody, and investigators are working to determine what led up to the shooting.
