OCSO Deputies Track Down and Arrest Man Wanted for Attempted Murder
OSCEOLA COUNTY, FL — A man accused of firing multiple rounds into a woman’s vehicle and violently attacking her has been arrested following an intense search involving deputies and detectives in Osceola County.
According to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, deputies first responded around 5:00 a.m. to reports of shots fired and an aggravated battery along Fortune Road.
Investigators say the incident began earlier in the night around 1:30 a.m., when the suspect — identified as 27-year-old Josue Emmanuel Figueroa Jr. — confronted his ex-girlfriend at a bar. During that encounter, he allegedly physically attacked her before leaving the location. Authorities say he continued to harass the victim by phone afterward.
Later, in a parking lot off Fortune Road, the situation escalated dramatically. Deputies say Figueroa confronted the victim while she was sitting in the driver’s seat of her vehicle and fired multiple rounds into the car. He then allegedly battered the victim again, stole her cellphone, and fled the scene.
Investigators also revealed the suspect fled with his 4-year-old daughter inside the vehicle, raising additional concerns during the search.
Search, Chase, and Surrender
Detectives located Figueroa at his residence around 1:15 p.m., but he fled from deputies on a motorcycle at a high rate of speed.
The suspect eventually abandoned the motorcycle and ran into a wooded area near Cricket Cradle Drive, prompting a continued search on foot.
Authorities say the situation came to a peaceful end when the suspect’s mother was contacted and convinced him to surrender. He was taken into custody without further incident.
