NEW YORK, NY – That morning cup of tea might be more dangerous than you think. Macy’s has just issued an urgent recall for about 4,600 Arch Studio Tea Kettles after several customers reported a terrifying defect: the handles are simply falling off while the kettles are hot.
If you’re a tea lover who shops at Macy's, you’ll want to check your stove. The problem is exactly what you’d fear when dealing with boiling water—the handle can detach without warning during use. If that happens while you're pouring or moving a full kettle, the risk of a serious scalding burn is incredibly high.
