Junior Deputies Take Over: OCSO Hosts "Bring Your Kids to Work Day"

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — The halls of the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) were a little noisier and a lot more cheerful this week as the agency traded tactical gear for teaching moments. OCSO recently welcomed the next generation of potential public servants for a special Bring Your Kids to Work Day, giving local youth a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the heart of law enforcement.

The day was designed to be more than just a field trip. Young visitors had the opportunity to explore various areas of the agency, from patrol units to specialized departments, learning exactly what it takes to keep Osceola County safe. The office was filled with the sounds of curious questions and plenty of smiles as children shadowed their parents and saw firsthand the dedication required for a career in service.

The "junior deputies" spent their time learning alongside the OCSO team, getting a closer look at the tools and technology used in daily operations. For many of the children, it was a chance to see their parents not just as mom or dad, but as community heroes working to make a difference.
