VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Months after a devastating hit-and-run crash on Interstate 4 claimed the lives of three people, authorities have made an arrest in the case.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 23-year-old Lindsey Brooke Isaacs of Ocala was taken into custody on a warrant and booked into the Volusia County Jail in connection with the crash.

Isaacs is facing multiple serious charges, including:

  • Three counts of Leaving the Scene of a Crash Involving Death
  • Three counts of Vehicular Homicide
  • One count of Leaving the Scene of a Crash Involving Serious Bodily Injury
  • One count of Reckless Driving Causing Serious Bodily Injury

The crash occurred on October 4, 2025, at approximately 9:55 p.m. along I-4 eastbound near mile marker 108, just east of DeBary Avenue.

Troopers say the crash began when a 2025 Dodge Durango (V1), driven by Isaacs, changed lanes into the path of a Ford Focus (V2). The impact triggered a chain-reaction crash involving a motorcycle (V3) and a Honda Pilot (V4).

Investigators say the initial collision forced the Ford Focus off the roadway, where it struck a guardrail before re-entering traffic and colliding with the Honda Pilot.

The consequences were deadly.

Authorities confirmed that the motorcycle rider, along with the driver and passenger of the Honda Pilot, were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford Focus, a 47-year-old woman from Deltona, suffered serious injuries and was transported to AdventHealth Fish Memorial Hospital.

Following the crash, the driver of the Dodge Durango fled the scene, sparking a lengthy investigation.

The vehicle was later located by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office in a parking lot, unoccupied and showing damage consistent with the crash. It was seized as evidence by traffic homicide investigators.

After months of investigation, authorities identified Isaacs as the driver and secured a warrant for her arrest.

The case remains an active criminal investigation, and authorities are continuing to ask anyone with additional information to contact *FHP by dialing 347 or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
