“Too Pretty for Jail” — Driver Arrested After Second Traffic Stop on I-4

DAVENPORT, Fla. — What started as a routine traffic stop along Interstate 4 turned into a quick lesson in “maybe don’t do that again”… except the driver did exactly that.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy pulled over a white Toyota SUV around 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, near Davenport. Behind the wheel was 19-year-old Rolando Juliuz Pichardo Jr. of Palm Bay.

During the stop, deputies found that Pichardo was driving on a suspended license, which had been suspended just weeks earlier on March 30 after he failed to pay a speeding ticket in Brevard County.

Instead of arresting him right then, the deputy gave Pichardo a break — issuing a Notice to Appear and clearly telling him not to drive. Deputies even suggested he call a friend for a ride.

Problem solved… right?

Not quite.

About 10 minutes later, and just two miles down the road, another deputy spotted the same SUV and conducted a second traffic stop. The description matched, the timing matched — and when the original deputy arrived, it was confirmed: same car, same driver, same situation.

At that point, deputies decided the second time was not the charm.

Pichardo was placed under arrest for Driving While License Suspended/Revoked.

And in a moment that deputies likely won’t forget anytime soon, Pichardo reportedly told them he was “too pretty to go to jail.”

That argument… did not hold up.

Deputies proceeded with the arrest, and Pichardo was transported to the Polk County Sheriff’s Processing Center, where — ironically — his “pretty face” was officially photographed for a mugshot.

Authorities say no further incidents occurred, but the takeaway is simple: when deputies say don’t drive… they mean it.
