Davenport, Florida – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a series of criminal mischief incidents involving juveniles kicking in doors at apartment complexes and nearby properties throughout Davenport.

According to investigators, the incidents occurred at Harper Grove Apartments and Windsor Resort, both located off U.S. Highway 27 near Sand Mine Road.

The first reported case happened on March 14th around 10:00 p.m. in the 3400 block of Lilac Way. Deputies say residents were inside their home when they suddenly heard a loud bang at the front door. When they checked, they discovered the door had been cracked and damaged from the impact.

Just four days later, on March 18th around 6:00 p.m., witnesses reported a similar incident at Harper Grove Apartments. Authorities say a group of six teenage boys was seen running through the complex after kicking and damaging another door.
