Polk County Deputies Investigate Overnight Shooting in Poinciana, Home Struck by Gunfire
POINCIANA, Fla. — The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred late Sunday night in a residential neighborhood in Poinciana.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened around 10:25 p.m. on February 22 in the 600 block of Caribou Court. Deputies responded to reports of gunfire and began canvassing the area for evidence and potential witnesses.

Investigators say shell casings were recovered at the scene, and one unoccupied residence was struck by a single round. Authorities confirmed that no individuals were injured during the incident.
Detectives are actively gathering evidence, including reviewing surveillance video from nearby homeowners, as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and identify those responsible.
iSkyNews.com was on scene as the situation unfolded Sunday night. A significant law enforcement presence was observed in the neighborhood, including a K-9 unit, aerial drone operations, and a law enforcement helicopter circling overhead while deputies secured the area. Caribou Drive was temporarily shut down as investigators processed the scene.
At this time, no suspect information has been released, and the investigation remains ongoing. Deputies are asking anyone with information or additional surveillance footage from the area to contact the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
