OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — After a brief stretch of warmer weather, colder temperatures are expected to return early next week, prompting Osceola County Emergency Operations Center to activate cold weather shelters across the county.
Officials say Osceola County cold weather shelters will be open Monday, January 26, and Tuesday, January 27, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., providing a warm and safe place for residents in need during overnight cold conditions.
The following shelter locations will be open:
- First United Methodist Church St. Cloud
- Iglesia del Nazareno Casa de Vida
- Poinciana Christian Church
Free transportation to shelters will be available through Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority buses. Riders only need to notify the bus driver that they are traveling to a cold weather shelter.

Local officials encourage the public to share this information, particularly with vulnerable populations, to help keep the community safe during cold overnight temperatures.
This effort is supported by multiple local agencies, including the City of Kissimmee Government, City of St. Cloud, Florida, Osceola County Office of Emergency Management, and Osceola County Fire Rescue and EMS.
